Yi-Hsien Cheng is an international costume designer for theater and film. She held a BA in Theatre & Drama from National Taiwan University and an MFA in Costume Design from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). Prior to attending CalArts, Yi-Hsien was active in the industries of theater, film, and TV in Taiwan as a costume designer and fabricator. She also worked as a wardrobe supervisor for Martin Scorsese’s feature film, Silence.
Yi-Hsin's most recent theater works include The Maids and Appropriate at CalArts and The Pillowman in Taiwan. Her film credits include Teddy Mate(USC), Hereafter and HIẾU, which is selected to premiere in The Cinéfondation at the 2019 Festival de Cannes.
